Last weekend in Austin, Texas, A&M battled hard but failed to notch a single win against the top-ranked Longhorns. Despite keeping each game competitive, Aggie head coach Michael Earley summed it up best: There are no moral victories or style points in baseball. It’s wins or losses, and that’s the bottom line.
Now, the Aggies turn their focus to a crucial SEC showdown against No. 2 LSU, kicking off Friday night in Bryan-College Station. This marks the third top-five opponent Texas A&M has faced in the last four weeks, making every pitch and every play critical.
For Coach Earley, in his inaugural season as head coach, the pressure is on. With the SEC Tournament and NCAA postseason looming, Texas A&M must deliver when it matters most.
