The Alabama Crimson Tide are in Nashville to face another tough opponent in Tim Corbin’s Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 12 of the 2025 college baseball season.
Alabama (35-10 overall, 12-9 SEC) is on a five-game winning streak after sweeping last-place Missouri in its last SEC series. Coach Rob Vaughn’s team is ranked No. 16 in the USA TODAY Sports’ Coaches Poll, one spot below No. 15 Vanderbilt (32-13, 12-9).
The Commodores dropped two of three at Ole Miss last weekend but swept a top five team in the Georgia Bulldogs a week before that in Nashville.
Entering the series, Alabama is batting .292 as a team, tied for sixth in the SEC with Georgia and Auburn. The Tide’s 4.58 staff ERA ranks 10th in the SEC. Vanderbilt pitching is third in the conference with a 3.74 ERA, while their .269 batting average as a team is 14th (third from last) in the league.
In the latest NCAA Tournament projections, Baseball America projects Alabama as the No. 15 national seed and one of the final regional site hosts. Vanderbilt is projected as a No. 8 seed.
