2025 Privateers Baseball Schedule Released – University of New Orleans Athletics

SCHEDULE

NEW ORLEANS – The 2025 New Orleans Privateers baseball schedule has been released and it features 52 total games with an even split of home and road contests (26 home, 26 road).

Blake Dean will enter his 10th season as head coach of the Privateers who begin their 2025 trek with a four-game road series against new Division I foe, West Georgia. The Wolves were 23-27 overall and 14-16 in the Division II Gulf South Conference in ’24.

The last weekend series before conference play starts will take place against ACC opponent, Boston College. The Eagles finished 22-31 overall a season ago and had an 8-22 record against conference opponents.

With a newly expanded Southland, the conference slate gets underway in week three when the Privateers visit Stephen F. Austin for a series that starts on Feb. 28. New Orleans will also travel to UIW, McNeese, Lamar and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for their road conference series.

The first conference home series is against UTRGV which begins on Mar. 7. The Privateers will also host Northwestern State, HCU, Nicholls and Southeastern. The series against Southeastern (Mar. 28-30) will also be the contest for the Pontchartrain Bowl, which the Privateers have after beating Southeastern 2-1 in the regular season series in Hammond in 2024.

With still an odd number of teams (11) in the conference, the Privateers will be out of Southland play one weekend. That is when they will host UNC Asheville from Apr. 11-13. The Bulldogs were 22-28 overall and 10-14 against the Big South last year.

Midweek contests include the three-game series against Tulane for the Pelican Cup. Turchin Stadium will host two contests (Feb. 18 and May 6). The middle game of the series will be at Maestri Field on Mar. 25.

New Orleans will take on LSU in Baton Rouge on Mar. 18. The Privateers will also play one road game against Southern Miss on Apr. 29.

The Privateers will play once home and once away against Southern, Jackson State and South Alabama. Also, New Orleans will host Xavier (La.) on Mar. 11.

Season tickets will be available starting Dec. 2. For those interested in being contacted about ticket information, click here.

All home games will be carried on ESPN+. Information about radio broadcasts will be available at a later date.
