Clemson baseball fell four spots while Florida State and North Carolina rose to No. 2 and No. 4, respectively, in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll on Monday.
The Tigers, losers of nine of their last 12 games, dropped another series over the weekend after losing two of three games against No. 24 Duke at home. Clemson’s schedule has been quite tough in recent weeks, with losses to Coastal Carolina, Florida State, NC State and Louisville, along with a nonconference win over Georgia.
Overall, six ACC teams occupied spots in the top 25 rankings after the latest update.
