Wisconsin football extended an offer to class of 2027 linebacker Liufau Loumoli on Tuesday.
The Badgers join an impressive offer sheet that also includes Arizona State, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee, USC and Washington.
247Sports lists Loumoli as a four-star prospect. He’s specifically ranked as the No. 241 overall player in the class of 2027, the No. 16 linebacker and the No. 3 recruit from his home state of Washington. The service has yet to log a crystal ball prediction at this early stage of the cycle. Notably, On3 currently lists Washington as the favorite at 30.2%, followed by Ohio State (26.4%) and Oregon (11.9%), both teams that have yet to officially join his offer sheet.
Loumoli’s recruitment is sure to pick up as the summer months conclude and the 2027 cycle heats up. It will be interesting to see where Wisconsin stands one year from now, both with its top 2027 targets and in the overall Big Ten landscape.
The Badgers are still looking to turn their strong recruiting performance under Luke Fickell into on-field results. The program has registered consecutive top-25 classes, though it is just 12-13 in two seasons under Fickell. 2025 is a critical year for both of those standings.
