The college baseball regular season has concluded. Iowa (32-20-1, 21-9 Big Ten) earned the No. 3 seed in the 2025 Big Ten Baseball Tournament from Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Nebraska.
After dropping eight of their final 10 games, the Hawkeyes likely need to win the Big Ten Tournament in order to punch an NCAA Tournament ticket and find themselves in a college baseball regional.
The 2025 Big Ten Baseball Tournament has a new format that features four three-team pools to begin tournament play. The four pool winners will then meet in single-elimination semifinals on Saturday, May 24.
As the No. 3 seed, Iowa is in Pool C with No. 6 seed Indiana (31-23, 16-14 Big Ten) and No. 10 seed Rutgers (28-27, 15-15 Big Ten). The Hawkeyes took two of three games from Rutgers in their series on March 7-9 and swept Indiana in their series on April 25-27.
Here’s a look at Iowa’s pool play schedule in the Big Ten Tournament:
Iowa’s Big Ten Baseball Tournament schedule
Wednesday: vs. No. 10 Rutgers at 6 p.m. CT
Friday: vs. No. 6 Indiana at 2 p.m. CT
If multiple teams go 1-1 in their respective pools, the higher-seeded team automatically advances. Should the Hawkeyes advance as the Pool C Winner, Iowa would meet the Pool B Winner in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT.
The Big Ten Championship game will be on Sunday, May 25 at 2 p.m. CT.
