Tyler Lepage had three hits and six RBIs, as the Lackawanna College baseball team defeated UConn Avery Point, 18-5, to capture the NJCAA Division II East District title Sunday at Scranton High School.
The Falcons (34-16) advance to the NJCAA Division II World Series on May 24-31 at David Allen Memorial Park in Enid, Oklahoma.
Jake Kelleher had three hits, including a home run, three RBIs and three runs, Nick Matson had three hits, one RBI and two runs and Deacon Brown and Mark Zuppo each added a home run for Lackawanna.
Denison 13, Keystone 2: At Granville, Ohio, Robert Estrada went 2 for 3 and was the lone Giant with multiple hits, as the Keystone College baseball team lost to Denison University on Sunday afternoon in the Granville Regional Championship at Big Red Field.
Keystone’s season concludes with a 37-11 record.
