Four-star 2026 power forward will choose between Duke and Maryland on Friday

College basketball programs never focus on one season at a time, and Duke Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff could land an important building block for their 2026-27 roster at the end of the week.

Sebastian Wilkins, a four-star power forward from the Class of 2026, will decide between the Blue Devils and the Maryland Terrapins on Friday, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

Wilkins, a 6-foot-8 product of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, is 247Sports’ No. 31 prospect in the class and seventh-ranked player at his position. According to MaxPreps, he averaged 10.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks as a sophomore for his varsity team in 2023-24, and he shared some photos from an official visit with the Blue Devils earlier this month.

The Blue Devils haven’t picked up a commitment from the 2026 cycle yet, although 247Sports analyst Brandon Jenkins reported that Wilkins could be a candidate to reclassify to 2025. If he does that, he’d join five-star power forward Cameron Boozer and two other top-25 freshmen in Duke‘s incoming class.

Wilkins’ decision is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Eastern time on Friday.
