Country music star, ex-college football player arrested. Here’s what we know

Country music singer Gavin Adcock was arrested this week in Tennessee and charged with reckless driving and violation of open container laws, according to Taste of Country.

The website said that Adcock was arrested Wednesday night, according to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol in Oconee just after 11 p.m. His bond was set at $1,000, and he was released from jail just after 4:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, according to the report.

Taste of Country called Adcock “a rising country star” and said he is best known for songs like “Deep End” and “Ain’t No Cure.”

He has yet to comment on the arrest.

Taste of Country reported that Adcock, a 26-year-old native of Georgia, previously said on Twitter that he went to jail once because of a “suspended license.”

Adcock played college football for Georgia Southern, but the Savannah Morning News said he was removed from the team in 2021 after a viral video showed him standing atop a moving bus while chugging a beer before a game.
