Messiah University baseball advances to World Series for first time in program history
Now moving on to college baseball. Fresh off *** win over Salisbury College yesterday in the Super Regional’s Messiah University can punch their ticket to the Division 3 World Series for the first time ever with another win over the Seagulls this afternoon. The Falcons 14 to 1 in yesterday’s game. We start in the bottom of the sixth inning. Messiah down. 4 to 1. Luke Ot sends one over the right field wall. That is *** 2 run home run. The Falcons down 4 to 3 after that big hit there. Now we have *** tie game just an inning later. Luke O in the box again with the bases loaded. He’s hit by the pitch. The Falcons take their first lead of this game, and now we go to the top of the 9th inning. The Falcons up 75. Salisbury grounds one to second base here. Jarrett Gordon flips it over to Nick Moyer for the out. Messiah, wins 7 to 5 to advance to the World Series. I wasn’t doing the greatest before that. I would think, I don’t know, I think it was like 0 for 6, but you know, I kept my composure. These guys constantly pouring into me and just surrendering it all to God just really gave me the strength. I mean, we’re, I think the lowest ranked team in the super regionals, and I don’t think God would have it any other way, uh, just, uh. Like this is, this is just us opening our hands and being like, God, what do you have in store for us? And, and again, just to, to write *** story of starting 1 in 6 to get to where we’re at. Messiah Baseball is 36-14 on the season and will travel to East Lake, Ohio for the Division 3 World Series, which begins on May 30th.
