AUBURN — After a one-year hiatus, the road to Omaha and the Men’s College World Series will again run through Plainsman Park.
Auburn baseball was officially announced as a host site for the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Sunday. It marks the third time in the past four seasons the Tigers have hosted, getting back-to-back bids for the first time ever in 2022 and 2023. In total, it’s the seventh time the program has earned a regional bid, with its first coming in 1978.
While Auburn knows it’ll host, it won’t find out its regional field until Monday, when the entire bracket and seeding is announced (11 a.m. CT, ESPN2). The Tigers are widely projected to land a top-eight national seed, which they have earned just once before.
Tickets for this year’s Auburn regional will go on sale at 12:30 p.m. CT Monday. Student tickets are currently available for purchase.
This year’s group of host sites includes eight SEC squads. Auburn played seven of them this spring, as well as regional host Oregon State. It went a combined 8-10 against those programs.

Auburn’s latest hosting bid comes after its best regular season in the Butch Thompson era. That includes a résumé that bodes well for its postseason circumstance, with a top-three RPI and the nation’s strongest schedule.
