The NFL is not commenting on the video of New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs partying on a boat that went viral earlier this week.
In an email to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said the league “will decline comment” on the matter.
In the video circulating online, Diggs is seen on a boat with his girlfriend, Cardi B, and several other women.
There is also another video that appears to show Diggs passing around a packet with a pink substance. It’s unclear what the substance is or exactly when the video was recorded, though it was released over Memorial Day weekend.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the situation during the team’s OTAs on Wednesday. He told reporters they are aware of the video and any talks he might have with Diggs will remain private.
Diggs was not present with the Patriots this week. They have another round of OTAs next week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, then mandatory minicamp from June 9-11 before departing until training camp begins in July.
The Patriots signed Diggs to a three-year, $63.5 million contract as a free agent in March. He is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Week 8 of the 2024 season with the Houston Texans.
Assuming Diggs is healthy for the start of the season, the Patriots will be counting on him to provide a boost to their receiving corps. The 31-year-old was on pace for more than 1,000 yards last season prior to the injury.
The Patriots haven’t had a player surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a season since Julian Edelman in 2019 (1,117). Tight end Hunter Henry was the team’s leading receiver last season with 674 yards.
