UCLA baseball finds itself on the brink of ending a four-year drought of not appearing in the College World Series.
The 15th-seeded Bruins can end that drought by the end of the night with a super regional sweep.
UCLA and UTSA are set for a 3 p.m. ET first pitch in Game 2 of the Los Angeles Super Regional on June 8 at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Bruins took the opening game of the Los Angeles Super Regional 5-2 on June 7 thanks to a big two-RBI triple knock to the right field wall in the bottom of the eighth inning from third baseman Roman Martin.
On top of Martin’s big day at the plate, which featured going 2-for-4 with three RBI, UCLA put a stop to UTSA’s Cinderella Run in the NCAA baseball tournament with its pitching. After taking a 2-0 lead after the second inning, 16 of the final 17 UTSA batters were retired by UCLA pitching.
A Game 2 win for UCLA would mark the program’s first trip back to the CWS since 2019; while a win for UTSA would force Game 3 of the super regional series in Los Angeles.
