Louisville is going back to the College World Series for the 6th time in program history. The Cardinals punched their ticket to Omaha on Sunday with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Miami, taking the Super Regional 2-1.
Game 3 of a Super Regional comes with edge-of-your-seat drama. Adding to that, it was a tight game that came down to the final at-bat.
Miami wasn’t going down without a fight. The Hurricanes had 2 on with 1 out against Justin West. West recorded the 2nd out before Louisville made 1 last pitching change.
Brennyn Cutts came in and got Jake Ogden to fly out to centerfield to end the game.

Louisville appears to be a dangerous team that has gotten hot at the right time. The Cardinals had dropped 6 of their last 7 before the NCAA Tournament. They have now won 5 of their last 6 games, only dropping Game 2 of Super Regionals to UM, 9-6.
The Cardinals head to Omaha with a 40-22 overall record. They will face the winner of the Corvallis Super Regional between Oregon State and Florida State.
