OMAHA, NE. — One of Louisville baseball’s mottos this season has been “So what, now what?”
During moments of adversity throughout the season, it’s a phrase the Cardinals have used. The motto was brought to the forefront again Friday after a 4-3 loss to Oregon State in their College World Series opener.
“I think you’ll see some of the best baseball out of us,” third baseman Jake Munroe said.
U of L will face Arizona at 2 p.m. ET today. The Wildcats, who have won both previous NCAA Tournament meetings with the Cardinals, dropped to the elimination bracket after losing to Coastal Carolina, 7-4. The Wildcats went 3 for 13 with runners in scoring position and 3 for 17 with runners on base.
