Detroit native Jaylon Moore, a National Football League veteran and current Kansas City Chief, is returning to his roots to host a youth football clinic in Macomb County, hosted at Mount Clemens High School on Wednesday, June 25.
The camp, which will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., is free and open to middle school students from sixth to eighth grades and will offer participants the opportunity to improve their football skills while engaging in team-building activities, learning the values of leadership and discipline under the guidance of experienced coaches and players, including Moore.
The camp will include a series of football drills and games along with instructional sessions to help them enhance their techniques and knowledge of football. It’s designed to be both educational and fun with a focus on developing well-rounded athletes with exceptional skills on and off the field.
Space is limited, so campers are encouraged to sign up in advance at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mt-clemens-community-schools-presents-jaylon-moore-football-camp-tickets-1396513131369.
Moore was a fifth round draft pick (155th overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan, where he was a second team All-MAC selection in 2020, by the San Francisco 49ers. He signed a two-year, $30 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2025 season. Moore is a Detroit native and attended Consortium College Prep in the city.
