Bedford’s Croteau Ends a Grand Slam Senior Season with Colby College Baseball

Bedford resident Ben Croteau concluded his senior year playing baseball with the Colby College Mules in Waterville, ME, a member of the Division 3 NESCAC league.  

 Croteau, a Lawrence Academy graduate, was mentioned in an April edition of the The New England Baseball Journal which reported on Colby setting a program record for wins in three straight years and reaching the Division 3 national tournament in 2024. 

On April 26 of this year Croteau hit a game winning seventh inning grand slam against Tufts in the second half of a double header. This season, Croteau, who is capable at any position needed, played in 20 games for the Mules with a 0.364 batting average. 

The lifetime Bedford resident grew up playing Bedford Babe Ruth Baseball and LBYH hockey before being recruited to play baseball at Lawrence Academy for high school. 

Croteau graduated from Colby College this spring with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Economics and is moving in to a position in Data Analytics with Morgan Stanley.
