The Duke
women’s basketball team will tip off the 2025-26 season playing in Paris
against Baylor.
The two teams
will play Nov. 3 at Adidas Arena, Duke
announced Thursday.
“Our team,
our program and our university are so excited to be over in France and be able
to showcase our team and our talent to start the season,” Duke women’s
basketball coach Kara Lawson said. “We couldn’t think of a better place, a
better country or a better opportunity to get our journey started next
year.”
Duke’s game
against Baylor is one of two women’s Oui-Play contests in the season-opening
doubleheader. The other game is between Vanderbilt and California. Organizers
are expected to announce tipoff times at a later date.
Tickets
go on sale to the public at 1 p.m. ET Friday for the Duke-Baylor game.
They’re listed at 13 euros.
VIP packages
for Duke fans cost $1,450 per person. It includes a VIP ticket to both
games in the doubleheader, light appetizers and beverages (including alcohol).
It also includes a ticket to a private Seine River dinner cruise with all four
participating teams, a ticket to the Louvre Museum and transportation to and from Paris.
Duke is set to
return four starters and 10 letter winners from the 2024-25 season, which will
mark Lawson’s sixth season as head coach of the program.
The Blue Devils
return All-ACC performers Jadyn Donovan, Toby Fournier and Ashlon Jackson.
The Nov. 3
contest will mark the second time Duke has played Baylor. Baylor defeated Duke
in the Elite Eight of the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
Duke is coming
off a 29-8 season and program’s ninth Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament
Title. The 2024-25 season ended in a 54-50 loss to South Carolina in the Elite
Eight.
Baylor went
28-8 in the 2024-25 season. The Bears lost against the Ole Miss Rebels in the
second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
