The Men’s College World Series could end on Sunday afternoon and provide a national champion for the 2025 NCAA college baseball season.
LSU won Game 1 on Saturday night, 1-0, behind a stellar performance from Tigers left-hander Kade Anderson. The All-American sophomore pitched eight scoreless innings, allowing three hits and five walks with 10 strikeouts on 130 pitches.

Right-hander Anthony Eyanson is set to start Game 2 for LSU. He has an 11-2 record and 2.92 ERA this season with 143 strikeouts in 101 2/3 innings. Coastal Carolina will counter with right-hander Jacob Morrison, who is 12-0 with a 2.08 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 104 innings.
A win on Sunday would give LSU its second NCAA baseball championship in the past three seasons and eighth in school history, in addition to providing the SEC with its fifth consecutive national title.
Coastal Carolina needs a victory to push the MCWS final to a decisive third game on Monday and continue the Chanticleers’ pursuit of its second national championship in 10 seasons. (The school won the 2016 Men’s College World Series.)
