Michigan State football gets into the mix with a 4-star defensive back from East St. Louis

Michigan State has done a phenomenal job recruiting the 2026 recruiting class in the month June, but now, the focus has slightly transferred to the 2027 recruiting class. The Spartans are identifying prospects in the class to put on the big board.

Over the course of the month, in the background of the official visits taking place, the Spartans have also been hosting camps for underclassmen prospects and prospects looking to earn themselves an offer. On Sunday, the Spartans were hosting a 7-on-7 tournament in place of a camp, and have found multiple prospects to extend offers to.

After a Detroit native received an offer, an East St. Louis (IL) wide receiver got an offer, and now, his teammate received an offer from the Spartans.

Raheem Floyd received the offer from Michigan State. He is a 6-foot-2 defensive back that is currently ranked as a 4-star prospect by ESPN in the 2027 recruiting class. He checks in at No. 149 in the nation and the No. 14 cornerback. On3 also has him ranked as a top 275 player in the class.
