Fresh off of its second consecutive trip to the College World Series, the Virginia baseball team unveiled its schedule for the 2025 season on Wednesday.
The Cavaliers’ slate, which includes matchups against eight teams that made the NCAA Tournament in 20224, features 30 home games at Disharoon Park, 17 true road games and seven neutral site games.
Virginia will open the season in the inaugural Puerto Rico Challenge with games against Michigan (Feb. 14), Villanova (Feb. 15) and Rice (Feb. 16). In addition to the Puerto Rico Challenge, the Cavaliers also will compete in the Karbach Round Rock Classic in Texas, where they will face Oregon State (Feb. 21), Minnesota (Feb. 22) and Oklahoma (Feb. 23).
In between their trips to Puerto Rico and Texas, the Hoos will host George Washington on Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. in their home opener at Disharoon Park.

Following the Round Rock Classic, Virginia will enjoy its longest homestand of the season. The Cavaliers open the eight-game homestand on Feb. 25 with a midweek matchup against VMI, followed by a weekend series with Dartmouth (Feb. 28-March 2). Virginia will host William & Mary on March 4 before opening ACC play with a three-game home series with Boston College (March 7-9).
Following the eight-game homestand, the Cavaliers will travel to Fredericksburg for a neutral site game against former ACC rival Maryland at Virginia Credit Union Stadium, the home of the Fredericksburg Nationals, a minor league affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Virginia then travels to the Bay Area for a weekend series against ACC newcomer Cal (March 14-16).
Virginia welcomes Richmond for a midweek game on March 19 before hosting Duke for a three-game ACC series March 21-23. The Hoos will head to Lynchburg for midweek matchup against Liberty on March 25 before a four-game homestand that includes a three-game ACC series with Stanford (March 27-29) and a midweek game against Old Dominion on April 1.
UVa heads to NC State (April 4-6) for the first full weekend of April before making its annual trip to The Diamond in Richmond to play VCU on April 8. The Cavaliers return home to host a three-game series with Pitt (April 11-13) and a midweek game against Liberty on April 15.
Back-to-back road ACC series against Florida State (April 17-19) and Georgia Tech (April 25-27 will be split up by home midweek matchups against Georgetown (April 22) and James Madison (April 23).
The Cavaliers’ final homestand of the season starts with VCU on April 29 and Navy on April 30 before an open weekend. Following a break for exams, the Cavaliers host Towson on May 7 before welcoming Miami to Charlottesville for the final home ACC series of the year May 9-11. UVa’s final home regular season game is slated to be against George Mason on May 13.
The Hoos will close out the regular season with a three-game series at Virginia Tech (May 18-20).
