Ohio Baseball Adds Nine During Early Signing Period

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio baseball team added nine players to its 2025 signing class during the early signing period head coach Craig Moore announced on Friday (Nov. 29).  

“The announcement of this 2025 class is full of great enthusiasm as we continue to move forward to reaching our goals as a program for MAC championships,” Moore said. “These young men instill the values and expectations of the program-high character, sound academically, team first mentality and great athletic skill set. We are looking forward to getting this group on campus next fall and blending in with a great nucleus of returnees that we will have coming back next season to be impactful on and off the field that will lead us to much success.”

Daniel Briggs 
A three-year varsity letter winner at Dublin Coffman High School and a four-year player for Bo Jackson Elite Baseball, Briggs comes to Ohio with a wealth of baseball experience. He was also captain of the Dublin Coffman team. 

Briggs is the son of Ryan and Stephanie Briggs, and has one sister, Ady. Outside of baseball, he enjoys shooting, fishing and video games. He is a Cleveland sports fan. Briggs plans to study business management at Ohio with hopes of a future career in baseball.  

Wesley Cupps 
Cupps comes to Ohio from Free State High School in Lawrence, Kansas. A four-year letterwinner, Cupps recorded a .327 batting average and .998 fielding percentage over 154 games at Free State. He helped Free State earn State Runner-up in 2023 and 2024. He also currently serves as team captain. Cupps played club baseball for Mac N Seitz. 

He is the son of Matt and Danel Cupps, and has one brother, Carter. An avid Kansas City Sports fan, Cupps roots for the Chiefs and Royals, as well as the Kansas Jayhawks. When he’s not on the field, Cupps can be found fishing, golfing, camping and hiking. He intends to study biology pre-physical therapy at Ohio to become a physical therapist in the future. 

Andrew Endres 
A native of Hilliard, Ohio, Endres is an Academic Scholar Athlete and multi-sport athlete from Hilliard Davidson High School. He served as captain of the basketball and baseball teams at Hilliard Davidson, and also played for Launch Baseball for four years. Endres is also a member of Interact Club, Key Club and a Freshman Focus Camp Leader. 

Outside of baseball, Endres can be found with his friends or outdoors. He is the son of Tracy and Eric Endres, and has one sister, Allie. His father, Eric, played basketball at Denison. Endres plans to study business at Ohio, with hopes of working in business data analytics in the future. 

Noah Ernst 
Ernst will make the quick trip to Ohio from Wellston, Ohio, where he attended Jackson High School. He is a member of the varsity baseball and golf teams, as well as the Leos Club, National Honors Society and Success Program. Ernst also played club baseball for Jackson Storm and Ohio Elite.

He is the son of Brandi and Shane Stevens, has two brothers, Mason and Liam Stevens, and one sister, Madison Stevens. His hobbies include working out, cooking, teaching baseball, hanging out with friends and golfing. Ernst plans to study exercise science at Ohio, and hopes to extend his major into grad school where he will study a similar field.  

Sean Fox 
Fox was named the youngest captain of the baseball team in Rochester High School history in 2023. A four-year varsity starter and three-year captain, Fox comes to Ohio with a wealth of experience. He broke the Rochester single-season home run record in 2024 with his ninth home run, which stood since 1979. Off the field, Fox is involved in the National Honors Society, National Social Studies Honors Society, Rotary Club and Investment Club. 

A native of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Fox is the son of Ryan and Ashley Fox, and has one sister, Molly. His father played baseball at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. His interests outside of baseball include hunting, writing, weight lifting and pickleball. Fox is also a distant relative of Rufus Putnam, founder of Ohio University, and the namesake of Ohio’s mascot, Rufus. He plans to study business economics and play baseball as long as he can. 

Colton Landtiser 
Landtiser is a four-year letterwinner at Pickerington Central High School in Pickerington, Ohio. He helped the Tigers to a 21-5 record in 2024, and was named captain for the 2025 season. Landtiser also serves as a Service Learning Academic Tutor for his school and is a member of the distinguished honor roll. 

He is the son of Larry and Aubrey Landtiser, and has one sister, Ellyse. His uncle, Eric Kornell, played baseball at Capital University, and his great uncle, Ron Drake, played baseball and football at USC. Landtiser’s interests include working out, video games and physical therapy, the latter of which he plans to study at Ohio. He hopes to be a baseball player first, and a physical therapist or baseball trainer after graduation. 

Evan Lichtenauer 
A native of Newark, Ohio, Lichtenauer is a multi-sport athlete at Licking Valley High School. He’s recorded three 40+ strikeout seasons on the mound and earned three first-team All-Conference nominations. He played club baseball for the Ohio Hitmen and Licking County Settlers. Lichtenauer is also a seven-time 4.0 GPA award recipient. Off the field, he is a member of the National Honors Society, Leo Club, Licking County Leads and Jostens Rennisance.  

Lictenauer is the son of Courtney and Aaron Lichtenauer, and has two brothers, Ian and Brandt. His mother played softball at Denison. His hobbies include cornhole, poker and golf. Lictenauer is an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, as well as the Los Angeles Lakers. He plans to study biology pre-physical therapy with hopes to become a physical therapist in the future. 

Connor Gibour 
Gibour is a multi-year letter winner and All-Area Honorable Mention nominee from Crystal Lake Central High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He also played club baseball for the GRB Illinois Rays. Gibour is involved with the Legacy club at his school as well. 

Off the field, Gibour enjoys Chicago-area sports, lifting and fishing. He is the son of Scott and Shae Gibour, and has one brother, Braydon. His brother played baseball at the College of Lake County. He plans to study accounting at Ohio, with hopes of becoming an accountant some day. 

Mason Gass 
Gass comes to Ohio from West Allegheny Senior High School, where he was a two-way player at pitcher and third base. An award-winning pitcher, Gass has a 12-2 record over the past three years at the high school and club level. Gass was also highly involved on campus as a member of the Marine Corps Junior Reserve, West Allegheny Ski Club, Miracle League, and overall volunteer. 

He is the son of Dave and Christine Gass, and has one sister, Allison. He likes to fish, hunt and lift in his spare time. He is a huge Pittsburgh sports fan, but also enjoys the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets. He is also part of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Bucco Brigade. Gass plans to study data analytics at Ohio with the goal of working for a professional sports organization or sports technology company.
