This past week, the spring transfer portal officially came to a close, with the Alabama Crimson Tide among the biggest takeaways, not just in the SEC, but across college football overall, coming out of the two-week span.
However, it might not exactly be for the reason that you might think.
During the spring transfer portal window, there was still a significant amount of movement across college football, similar to back in the winter. However, there was also not as much action in the spring, especially for Alabama.
Here is a look at all the action from Alabama during the spring transfer portal window, which includes departures and additions.

Starting with the departures, Alabama did not have a player enter the transfer portal during the spring window. This came after Alabama lost over 20+ back during the winter portal window

- Jack Sammarco, Tight End
- Brody Dalton, Tight End
As for the additions, Alabama added only two players during the spring in a pair of tight ends, Jack Sammarco and Brody Dalton. Both of Sammarco and Dalton are likely depth options this upcoming season, and come to Alabama from West Virginia and Troy, respectively.
At West Virginia, Sammarco had only one reception for four yards across one season. Dalton however spent two seasons at Troy in which he hauled in 20 receptions for 276 yards and three touchdowns.
