Alabama football OL Tyler Booker gets Will Anderson Jr. stamp of approval before 2025 NFL draft

Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, Alabama football offensive lineman Tyler Booker earned Will Anderson Jr.’s stamp of approval.

Anderson, the former Alabama defensive end and the No. 3 overall pick of the 2023 draft by the Houston Texans, used a recent press conference to sing the praises of Booker, his former teammate.

“Tyler Booker, I speak very highly of him,” Anderson told reporters. “Great character guy. But I think he has all the attributes you need to play the offensive line position. He’s a mauler, he loves to finish blocks, his leadership skills, his mentality.”

In three seasons with the Crimson Tide, Booker allowed two sacks, seven hits, 21 hurries and 30 pressures across 2,007 snaps, per Pro Football Focus.

An All-America guard and permanent Alabama team captain in 2024, Booker did not allow a sack over 778 snaps.

“He wants to be the best, and he’s very hard on himself,” Anderson said. “I’m kind of the same way. That’s what builds you up. That’s what makes who you are. And he has all those things, man. I can’t say enough good things about him. Wherever he ends up, he’s going to change that team, change that program and change the offensive line for sure.”

JC Latham, the former Alabama offensive tackle, was the seventh overall pick in 2024 to the Tennessee Titans.

The 2025 NFL Draft will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
