Alabama rises into USA TODAY Sports’ College Baseball Coaches Poll after undefeated start

The first in-season update of the USA TODAY Sports’ College Baseball Coaches Poll was officially released Monday afternoon, with the Alabama Crimson Tide among the biggest takeaways of any team across the country in the now updated Top 25.

After beginning the season unranked, Alabama has risen into the Top 25 in the latest update, sitting as the nation’s No. 20 overall team in the Coaches Poll. Alabama is also 1-of-11 SEC teams ranked, as well as one-of-six unbeaten teams remaining that are ranked.

For the season, Alabama, as mentioned previously, is still undefeated at 8-0 overall, with their year likely headlined so far by their recent 3-0 showing at the 2025 Jax College Baseball Classic in which they defeated Coastal Carolina, NC State, and Ohio State. Alabama also owns a series sweep over Bradley, as well as midweek wins against Middle Tennessee and Alabama State.

The Crimson Tide‘s next game will come Tuesday, Feb. 25, at home against Jacksonville State.
