Former Cincinnati Bengals players really like joining the Houston Texans right now.
Offensive tackle Trent Brown is the latest, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter reporting that Brown signed a one-year deal with the Texans worth up to $3 million.
Brown joins Sheldon Rankins, who was cut this month by the Bengals in a cap-saving move and quickly turned around and found a home with the Texans again.
A free-agent signing by the Bengals last offseason in the hopes he could hold down right tackle while rookie Amarius Mims learned, Brown suffered a torn patellar tendon in Week 3 and missed the remainder of the season. Now, the 31-year-old veteran gets a fresh start while Mims fully takes over in Cincinnati.
