The United States Military Academy has a new women’s basketball coach.
Army announced the hiring of former St. Joseph’s assistant coach Katie Kuester. She takes over for Missy Traversi, who was not retained after four years.
St. Joseph’s finished 24-10 this season, reaching the Atlantic 10 tournament championship game. Kuester was on the St. Joseph’s staff for seven seasons after playing at the school.
Army is coming off a 25-8 season, reaching the WNIT second round.
