Auburn baseball expected to sign another strong class for 2025

After bringing in one of the top classes in the country for 2024 and getting the entire class in school, coach Butch Thompson and assistants Karl Nonemaker, Gabe Gross, Everett Teaford and Scott Foxhall are expected to sign another strong class this time around, headlined by two-way player Ethan Bingamin and powerful right-handed pitcher Clayton Armah.

RHP/INF  Ethan Bingamin

Ranked as the No. 23 player nationally by Perfect Game and a member of Team USA 18U team, the 5-11, 200 Bingamin has a fastball that can reach to the mid 90’s and also a strong breaking ball. On the mound he might remind you of Tanner Burns because of his powerful build. Also a talented hitter, Bingamin could be a legitimate two-way threat on the next level.

RHP Clayton Armah

Another Top 100 prospect on Perfect Game, the 6-4 right-hander from Virginia is capable of throwing in the mid 90’s and has continued to progress on the mound as he’s gotten bigger and stronger. With still plenty left in the tank, Armah has the look of a potential No. 1 starter down the road.

C Taylor Belza

One of the top catcher prospects in the country, the Ohio native is ranked as the No. 106 player in the country by Perfect Game. A left-handed hitter, Belza is a physical 6-1, 208-pounder that provides some pop at the plate in addition to his strong defense.

OF Wade Shelly

A powerful outfielder from Headland, Alabama, the 6-0, 205 Shelly is ranked as the No. 128 player in the country by Perfect Game. With speed to go along with his power, Shelly could be a corner outfielder on the next level. Batting from the right side, he’s a potential middle of the batting order player for the Tigers.

RHP Fleming Hall

One of the top players in Alabama, the 6-0, 190 right-hander is pure power on the mound for the Trinity Wildcats in Montgomery. Also capable of playing a position, Hall is expected to be a full-time pitcher for the Tigers when he gets on campus.

IF Caden Combs

Also a football player at Gardendale High in Alabama, the 6-4, 250 Combs is a true power hitter that can play both first base and third base. With really good hands and a better athlete than he’s given credit for, Combs has a chance to be an early contributor.

RHP LJ Cormier

The son of former Alabama and MLB pitcher Lance Cormier, the Sipsey Valley standout is a powerful pitcher in his own right and also had a strong senior season as a quarterback where he threw for 1,600 yards and ran for over 700 more. An elite athlete, Cormier could wind up being one of the gems of this class.

LHP Mason McCraine

One of the most athletic members of the signing class, the 6-6 McCraine just finished off a strong year as a wide receiver for the Glenwood Gators on the football field. In 9 games he caught 31 passes for 680 yards and seven touchdowns. On the mound, McCraine can throw in the low 90’s and has a ton of upside.

RHP Brady Wilson

A 6-6, 215-pounder from Decatur (Alabama) Heritage Christian, Wilson is another prospect with a huge amount of upside. With a low 90’s fastball and the ability to change speeds, he’s another impressive addition on the mound as the Tigers look to continue to build an arsenal of arms.
