— In a 3-game series in Glendive, Montana, the Alexandria Technical and Community College baseball team got its bats going against Dawson Community College.
The Legends made the nearly 500-mile trek west on Interstate 94 to Glendive to take on the Buccaneers on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28.

Alexandria College defeated Dawson 15-11 on Thursday, then earned two victories, 14-3 and 9-6 on Friday.
Alexandria College scored seven runs in the top of the first inning on Thursday. Alexandria College led 9-1 after two innings and 15-5 through five and a half innings, but Dawson chipped away at its deficit in the final two innings. Dawson trailed 15-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning but scored five runs in the final inning of a game that Alexandria College held on to win 15-11.
Freshman catcher Caden Evers out of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, led Alexandria College in hits with three. Freshman outfielder Brenden Boesen out of Sartell, Minnesota, led Alexandria College in RBIs with four.
Freshman pitcher Cullen Posch out of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, earned the win on the mound for the Legends. He struck out a pair of batters in three innings on Thursday.
Alexandria College scored in all seven innings in game one of Friday’s doubleheader.
Josmer Ortiz Aponte, a sophomore outfielder from Albonito, Puerto Rico, and Jaden Drill, a sophomore first baseman/pitcher from Courtland, Minnesota, each had a game-high three RBIs.
Drill and freshman Jonah DeJong, a freshman first baseman/pitcher out of Fargo, North Dakota, had a team-high three hits. Drill hit a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Legends up 5-1.

Jalen Vorpahl, a sophomore out of Sartell, Minnesota, earned the win on the mound for the Legends. He struck out eight batters in five innings, allowing only one run, two hits, and two walks.
Dawson led 3-1 after five innings in the second game of Friday’s doubleheader. A Connor Davis RBI single followed by a run on a fielder’s choice tied the game and sent it into extra innings.
The Legends plated six runs to the Buccaneers’ three in the eighth inning, winning 9-6 to improve to 11-5 on the season.
DeJong had three RBIs for the Legends, while Boesen, Davis, and Devin Gutierrez led the Legends in hits with two.
Osseo, Minnesota native Zach Anderson earned the win on the mound for the Legends. Anderson walked three batters while allowing no hits or runs in a winning effort.
Alexandria College plays a doubleheader scrimmage on the road against a team from St. John’s University at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in Collegeville.
Alexandria College has its first home games of the season on Saturday, April 5, 2025, as it hosts Minnesota State Community and Technical College in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. at Knute Nelson Memorial Park.
