Baseball America has released their 2025 top 100 prospect list, and as we expected, there are three Texas Rangers players on the list.
Pitcher Kumar Rocker is the highest ranked Ranger prospect on the list, at #20, right behind Emmanuel Rodriguez of the Minnesota Twins. Shortstop Sebastian Walcott checks in right behind Rocker, at #21, just ahead of Max Clark of the Tigers.
Pitcher Alejandro Rosario, meanwhile, is at #49 on the list, between Chase DeLauter of the Guardians and Cooper Pratt of the Brewers. So the Rangers have three players in the top 50 on the list, not just the top 100. And would have had four in the top 100 if they had been successful in their pursuit of Roki Sasaki, who is the #1 prospect on the list.
As we have talked about before, I think we should anticipate seeing Rocker, Walcott and Rosario on most top 100 lists. There is a drop off for the Rangers after those three, and so I would be surprised if any Rangers prospect other than those three were to end up on any top 100 lists.
