CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The reigning ACC regular season champion North Carolina baseball program has announced its 2025 baseball schedule, featuring 35 games at Boshamer Stadium.
The Tar Heels, fresh off their 12th College World Series appearance, will have 55 regular season contests against 28 different opponents. Twenty of the team’s 25 non-conference contests will take place at home in Chapel Hill. The front-end of the schedule lays out well for the Diamond Heels’ fans, as the team won’t have to leave North Carolina until a full month into the season.
Carolina will be battle tested by the end of their regular season, once again boasting one of the most difficult schedules in the country. Nineteen teams the Tar Heels will face finished the 2024 season inside the top 100 of the RPI, 13 inside the top 65. Eleven of those programs made the NCAA postseason with four advancing to super regionals and two more joining the Heels in the College World Series. The program holds a 448-118 record all-time against its 2025 non-conference opponents.
The season opens with a couple of exciting Big 12 homestands against Texas Tech and Kansas State. The opening weekend matchup against the Red Raiders starts on Friday, Feb. 14 with the midweek game against the Wildcats scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The Tar Heels will take on East Carolina in their annual three-game, three-city weekend series with home-and-home games sandwiching a contest at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Saturday, Feb. 22.
A weekend slate against Stony Brook Feb. 28-Mar. 2 wraps up final week before ACC competition begins. Other non-conference home matchups throughout the season include NC A&T (02/18), VCU (02/25), Coastal Carolina (03/04), College of Charleston (03/05), UCONN (03/19), Gardner-Webb (04/01), Charlotte (04/15), Presbyterian (04/22), George Mason (04/29), Queens (04/30) and Campbell (05/06).
Carolina will also play a home-and-home with UNCW with the home game coming in the final week of the season on May 13. The Heels will also have their annual matchup with South Carolina at Truist Field in Charlotte.
The Diamond Heels will play host to Stanford (Mar. 7-9), Miami (Mar. 28-30), Duke (April 3-5), Wake Forest (April 10-12) and NC State (May 9-11) in their ACC slate. The reigning ACC Coach of the Year Scott Forbes’ unit went 14-1 in conference home games last year and 37-3 overall.
The ACC road trips will see the Tar Heels travel to Louisville (Mar. 14-16), Boston College (Mar. 21-23), Virginia Tech (April 18-20) and Pitt (April 25-27) before finishing the regular season in Tallahassee against Florida State May 15-17.
The 2025 ACC Baseball Championship will take place in Durham from May 20-25, with the Heels once again traveling to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Baseball season ticket deposits are on-sale now! Deposits are $175 per seat and will be assigned using the UNC Athletics Season Ticket Allocation Guidelines. The priority deadline is Wednesday, January 15th for all Rams Club members, Diamond Heels members and UNC employees.
All UNC employees can claim up to four (4) complimentary general admission tickets for each home game by showing their UNC OneCard at the Boshamer Stadium Box Office on game day. UNC Employees can also purchase reserved season tickets at a discounted rate and can place their deposit by calling the UNC Athletics Ticket Office at 919-962-2296.
All season ticket holders will have first right of refusal for any NCAA Post-Season events hosted within Boshamer Stadium.
