Beloit College baseball team takes series from visiting Grinnell

BELOIT — When his team took a 7-1 lead through three innings against Grinnell in the first game of Saturday’s double-header, Dave DeGeorge imagined what a quick 10-run rule game could mean for his Beloit College baseball team.

“I was hoping we could use just (starter) Ben (Schweit) and then save Maddon McArthur and Harvey Pena for the second game,” DeGeorge said. “A sweep would really put us in a great position in the conference standings.”
