Bengals game moved out of primetime

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The NFL has flexed an upcoming Cincinnati Bengals (4-7) out of primetime.

The Bengals‘ Week 16 home game against the Cleveland Browns (3-8) is now at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22.

When the schedule was first released, the Bengals vs. Browns game was supposed to be a Thursday Night Football matchup.

Now, the NFL has moved the Denver Broncos (6-5) at Los Angeles Chargers (7-3) matchup into the primetime slot.

This is not the first Bengals’ game to be moved out of a coveted timeslot this season.

The league previously moved Cincinnati’s Oct. 27 home game against the Philadelphia Eagles from a 4:25 p.m. kickoff to a 1 p.m. start.

Cincinnati’s Week 16 matchup will remain a Stripe the Jungle game.

Fans are encouraged to wear the color that coordinates with the seating map.
