Beverly’s Boretti wins 500th game as college baseball coach at Columbia

Beverly native Brett Boretti reached the 500-win plateau in his college baseball coaching career over the weekend when his Columbia Lions defeated Princeton in the first game of a doubleheader, 10-2.

The head coach at Columbia since 2006, Boretti has piled up 385 victories on Morningside Heights to go with seven Ivy League championships and six NCAA Division 1 playoff appearances.
