Blue Jays’ Spring Breakout roster to feature six of top seven prospects

A chance to watch the potential future stars of the Toronto Blue Jays is just around the corner.

MLB.com announced the rosters for the annual Spring Breakout event on Thursday, and the Blue Jays’ roster is stacked with their top prospects.

The Blue Jays will take on the Minnesota Twins on March 15 at TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Fla., as part of the annual four-day event designed to showcase baseball’s future. You can watch the game on Sportsnet+ starting at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.

Toronto’s roster for the game will feature six of their top seven prospects per MLB Pipeline, including Arjun Nimmala (No. 1), Trey Yesavage (No. 2), Orelvis Martinez (No. 3) and Alan Roden (No. 5).

Jake Bloss, the Blue Jays’ No. 6 ranked prospect who could see plenty of time with the big club this season, is also expected to pitch.

Two of Toronto’s top prospects will be held out of the game due to injury, as Ricky Tiedemann (No. 4) and Landen Maroudis (No. 8) are both still working their way back from elbow surgery.
