HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College football team is embracing the chilly Montana weather as they dive into spring practice on the turf at Nelson Stadium.

Carroll College Wide Receiver Chris Akulschin shared his thoughts on the early practices. “Yeah, we started the spring ball with a couple of practices that were pretty chippy, and I think we got that cleaned up, but we learned how to channel it between the whistles,” he said.

Quarterback Kaden Huot expressed his excitement about being back on the field. “It feels good to be out here on the field, getting to getting to know the offensive and, having fun with those guys and competing and executing plays on offense,” Huot said.

Head Coach Troy Purcell emphasized the benefits of having the spring practice on the turf at Nelson Stadium. “Oh it’s awesome. Just great being back on the field. An unbelievable field,” Purcell said.

The Saints will be hosting a spring game on April 26.
