As the calendar flips to May, the South Carolina basketball roster is close to being filled out. Between returners, high school signees and players who have pledged to the program through the NCAA Transfer Portal, it seems like fourth-year head coach Lamont Paris has a pretty good idea of who will be on next year’s roster.
The Gamecocks, coming off of an SEC-worst season, currently have one more open spot left on the 2025-26 roster. There are three players who are scheduled to return next year, although one had entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, while there are five high school signees and six players coming from other colleges.
The players are coming from coast to coast as one hails from Boston College and another from San Diego. There’s some international flair as Austria, France and Mongolia are represented, replacing the two Finnish departures.
With the roster nearing completion, let’s take a look at what’s gone, what’s back and what’s coming into the program for the first time. Here’s a look at how the South Carolina basketball roster has gotten to this point.
