College Baseball Best Bets for Friday, June 6

Matt Grissom, frequent VSiN guest on the topic of college baseball betting, offers his top plays for Friday, June 6.

Florida State ML (+105) vs. Oregon State

Confirmed Starters: Joey Volini (FSU) vs Dax Whitney (ORST)

If you’ve followed our content all season long, you know I’m not as high on this Beavers team as others are. There’s no reason to start believing in them now, despite their stats looking a little better than Florida State’s. I think the Noles are more battle-tested. Even though they are flying across the country to Corvallis, I think they’re the better team that will show up and come out of the Super Regional.

Miami ML (+140) vs. Louisville (½ Unit)

Confirmed Starters: AJ Ciscar (MIA) vs Patrick Forbes (UL)

While Forbes is the better pitcher, I think this Miami team and the way they’ve played in the back half of the season are worth backing at this price. Louisville has been way too streaky on offense to be this heavy of a favorite, and in an ACC matchup, again, I think this is a coin-flip game, so take the +140 with the Canes to keep their magic going like they did in Hattiesburg.

Auburn ML (-150) vs. Coastal Carolina

Confirmed Starters: Samuel Dutton (AUB) vs Cameron Flukey (CCU)

This Coastal Carolina team has been pitching well, but their offense can sometimes be stagnant. Meanwhile, for Auburn, they’ve been extremely solid all season long with Dutton on the mound. An SEC ace vs a stagnant offense makes this one a pretty easy bet in my opinion at a decent price. When comparing strength of schedule, Auburn is #1 compared to Coastal’s #78, so we know that Auburn has been the more battle-tested team. So give me the Tigers to take the very critical Game One in this matchup.
