The Cavs improved to 32-16 overall and 17-11 in conference play. This is BPCC’s final regular-season series. Games 2 and 3 are scheduled for Saturday with a doubleheader at BPCC starting at 1 p.m.

With the victory, the Cavs clinched first place in the North Division and will host the division tournament for the first time in at least 20 years.

BPCC jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, capitalizing on an aggressive approach at the plate. However, Angelina battled back, seizing an 8-6 lead by the bottom of the sixth inning.

Leading the offensive charge was Tyrus Hall, who went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBIs. Jacob Gillis was equally impressive, going 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.

Former Parkway standout Brandon Levy also made a significant impact, recording two hits, including a home run, and driving in four runs.

The Cavs’ relentless attack produced 15 total hits, including six extra-base hits, overwhelming Angelina’s pitching staff.

On the mound, Ben McKinnon earned the win, delivering five innings while allowing three runs and striking out four.

The bullpen held firm, ensuring the Cavaliers’ late surge was enough to seal the victory.
