Odessa College head baseball coach David Wood has been named the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
Wood, who is in his first season with the Wranglers, coached the team to a 38-14 overall, 30-6 in WJCAC record in this year which included the program’s first conference title since 2017.
Odessa College will face Cisco College in the first round of the Region V Southwest Tournament in a best-of-three series with Game 1 starting at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wrangler Ballpark.
