COLLEGE BASEBALL: Odessa College defeats Clarendon College in a doubleheader

The Odessa College baseball team won a doubleheader against Clarendon College Saturday at Wrangler Ballpark, defeating the Bulldogs by scores of 13-5 and 12-2.

The Wranglers improved to 16-8 overall, 8-2 in Western Junior College Athletic Conference play.

The Bulldogs fell to 6-20, 0-10.

In the first game, the Wranglers erased an early 3-0 deficit by scoring five runs in the bottom of the second inning.

Odessa College scored seven in the bottom of the fourth to take a commanding lead and not look back.

The Wranglers finished with 10 hits and no errors in the first game while the Bulldogs had eight hits and three errors.

In the second game, Odessa College was in control from the start, building an 11-0 lead after three innings.

Odessa College had nine hits and one error while Clarendon College finished with five hits and no errors.

Both teams will finish up their four-game series with a doubleheader beginning at noon Sunday at Wrangler Ballpark.
