
The regional round of the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball tournament continued on Sunday.
Teams looked to advance beyond the double-elimination regionals to the super regional round before they’ll attempt to secure their status as one of the eight teams in the Men’s College World Series starting on June 13.

Highlights and Notable Results
Wake Forest 10, Cincinnati 3
In the first game of the day, Wake Forest avenged its 11-6 defeat against Cincinnati on Friday and advanced to face Tennessee.
Wake Forest’s offense was consistent throughout its second matchup with the Bearcats, scoring at least one run in five innings on Sunday.
The Deacons took a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning with an impressive RBI single from Marek Houston as well as a two-run double by Jack Winnay.
Wake Forest jumped out to a 10-0 advantage before Cincinnati was able to get on the board due to home runs from Houston, Matt Scannell and Austin Hawke.
Mississippi State 3, Northeastern 2
The opening matchup of Sunday’s Tallahassee Regional featured a hard-fought clash between the Bulldogs and Huskies.
Mississippi State took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning after Hunter Hines picked up a RBI double.
Both teams traded runs before a bases-loaded walk from Northeastern infielder Jack Doyle pulled his team to within one run.
The Huskies attempted to tie the game in the ninth inning, but outfielder Carter Bentley was caught stealing at second base with two outs to seal the final result.
