WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The Ridgewater baseball team dropped a pair of games to the North Dakota State College of Science at the RussMatt Invitational on Saturday at the Chain of Lakes Fields.
The Wildcats beat the Warriors 16-6 in Game 1 and 6-1 in Game 2.

In the opener, Sergio Fernandez went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for Ridgewater. Garrett Kelly and Andrew Prieve both scored a pair of runs for the Warriors. Fernandez is a sophomore from Willmar. Kelly is a freshman from Dassel-Cokato. Prieve is a sophomore from Hutchinson.
Prieve and Fernandez both went 2-for-4 in the nightcap, with Prieve driving in a run.
Ridgewater (0-4) has a doubleheader scheduled with Minnesota North-Vermilion beginning at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Chain of Lakes Fields.
