ANOKA — The Ridgewater College baseball team’s winning streak is now up to eight games.
The Warriors swept a doubleheader with Anoka-Ramsey Community College on Saturday at Castle Field, beating the Golden Rams 7-4 and 9-2.

Ridgewater has now won 13 out of 14 games and eight in a row. The Warriors are 13-3 in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference and 16-12 overall. Anoka-Ramsey is now 8-8 in the MCAC and 18-14 overall.
In Game 2, Brennan Fictum (3-1) got the complete-game win, striking out three and walking three. The freshman right-hander from Wausau, Wisconsin allowed 10 hits in four earned runs.
Max Athmann, Jayce Olthoff, Garrett Kelly and Mason Macziewski all had two hits for Ridgewater. Athmann is a sophomore shortstop from Paynesville. He drove in four runs and scored twice. Olthoff is a freshman center fielder from Dassel-Cokato. Kelly, also a freshman from Dassel-Cokato played designated hitter and drove in a run. Macziewski is a sophomore catcher from Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. He scored three times.
In Game 1, Gabe Rohman (3-1) got the complete-game win. The freshman right-hander from New London-Spicer struck out five, walked three and allowed nine hits and no earned runs.
Athmann, Olthoff and Andrew Prieve all had two hits. Athmann scored twice, drove in two runs and walked. Olthoff scored once and walked. Prieve, a sophomore from Hutchinson, doubled and scored and drove in two runs.
The Warriors have four games this weekend with Alexandria Technical & Community College. They play a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Friday with the Legends at Bill Taunton Stadium. Then, they play two more beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday in Alexandria.
