SALISBURY — Catawba right fielder Dylan Driver (Carson) is having another great season (his fourth) and is batting .354 with nine homers, 10 doubles, 31 RBIs and 36 runs scored.
Driver has 247 career hits, with 179 runs, 154 RBIs, 54 doubles and 66 steals.
Cole Hales (Carson) is having a big offensive season for the Indians. He’s batting .396 with five homers, 32 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
East Carolina transfer Nathan Chrismon (South Rowan) is batting .254 with two homers, 25 runs and 29 runs scored. He has 15 steals.
Ty Hubbard (South Rowan) is batting .277 for the Indians with three homers and 24 RBIs. He’s scored 28 runs and stolen 11 bases.
Matthew Connolly (West Rowan), a transfer from Surry Community College, is batting .263 with five homers and 18 RBIs. Connolly has scored 22 runs and has handled most of the catching duties.
Cameron Burleson (Carson) is a backup catcher and is 3-for-10.
Freshman Logan Dyer (East Rowan) has seen action in left field recently and is 5-for-22 with three RBIs.
Ryan Street (Carson) made it back from Tommy John surgery. He’s made four mound appearances for the South Atlantic Conference-leading Indians. Hales and Dyer also have pitched some innings.
Joe Burleyson (East Rowan) has made 14 appearances on the mound, mostly in the late innings, and is 2-0.
Hayden Simmerson (Carson) has been the primary closer and is 2-2 with eight saves. He’s struck out 45 in 39.1 innings.
Casey Gouge (West Rowan) is a key starter for the Indians. He’s 4-2 with a 3.59 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 47.2 innings.
Payne Stolsworth (West Rowan) is the staff ace and has a 7-1 record. He has a 3.02 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.

DOBSON — Elijah Palmer (West Rowan) has been a terror for Surry Community College. He has 18 doubles, 45 RBIs and 43 runs and is batting .478 in 33 games. Palmer leads Region X hitters.
Surry’s Luke Graham (West Rowan) hasn’t been far behind him. Graham is batting .387 with 40 runs scored and 27 RBIs. He has 13 doubles and five triples.
Surry’s Zach McNeely (West Rowan) is batting .306 with 28 runs and 16 RBIs.

HUDSON — JD James (South Rowan) has 19 RBIs and a .265 batting average for Caldwell Community College.
Daxton Savage (Carson) has pitched well for Caldwell and is 5-2 with 41 strikeouts in 41 innings. His ERA is 3.51.

HIGH POINT — Cord Butler (A.L. Brown) is 2-3 for High Point.
Butler made a jump from D3 NC Wesleyan to D1 High Point. He’s struck out 23 in 23.2 innings, but he’s walked 19 batters. His ERA is 7.61.

CHAPEL HILL — UNC center fielder Kane Kepley (South Rowan) doesn’t have a great batting average (.250), but he’s still getting on base at a very high rate for the Tar Heels (.452). Kepley has five triples, four doubles and a homer and has scored 36 runs in 33 games.
The junior is on a lot of draft lists.
UNC pitcher Cameron Padgett (East Rowan) is 2-1. He’s made nine appearances for the Tar Heels, including four starts. He’s struck out 14 while walking five. His ERA is 5.48, mostly because of six longballs.

GREENVILLE — East Carolina’s Jake Hunter (East Rowan) has made 13 appearances for the Pirates with one start and is 2-2.
Hunter has struck out 33 while walking 15 in 30 innings.

WINSTON-SALEM — Haiden Leffew (South Rowan) has made 15 relief appearances for Wake Forest but has only pitched 16.2 innings.
Leffew (1-0) has struck out 27 and walked 12. His ERA is 5.40.
