5 men’s NCAA baseball tournament players to watch
The Mongomery Advertiser’s Adam Cole and The Tennesseean’s Aria Gerson break down the top players to watch in the men’s NCAA baseball tournament.
The field for the 2025 College World Series is nearly all set.
Seven of the eight teams that will play for a national championship are set to fly to Omaha, Nebraska, for the double-elimination tournament. That means all eyes will be in Durham, North Carolina, on Monday when Duke and Murray State play in Game 3 of the Durham Super Regional.
The Racers picked up a 19-9 victory over the Blue Devils on Sunday to force the winner-take-all matchup. Duke earned a 7-4 win over Murray State on Friday, but could not close the series out. The Racers are seeking their first-ever appearance in the CWS, while the Blue Devils are seeking their fourth appearance, but first since 1962.
