The UTPB baseball team defeated Eastern New Mexico 14-4 in the third game of the Lone Star Conference series Saturday at Roden Field.
UTPB’s Carson Johnson had an inside-the-park home run while Nolan LaChappa had a complete game effort on the mound and the walk-off double by Brent Rigtrup gave the Falcons their first win in the series against the Greyhounds.
UTPB improved to 4-19 overall, 4-19 in Lone Star Conference while the Greyhounds moved to 12-9, 10-9.
Both teams will complete the series with a 12 p.m. game Sunday at Roden Field.
