The UTPB baseball team recorded its second consecutive win against Eastern New Mexico, closing out the series with a 16-8 win Sunday at Roden Field.
With the win, the Falcons ended up splitting its second series of the season as UTPB moved to 5-19 overall, 5-19 in Lone Star Conference play.
Eastern New Mexico fell to 12-10, 10-10.
The Falcons used an eight-run surge in the bottom of the second inning to take a seven-run advantage and UTPB remained in control the rest of the way.
The Falcons also scored four runs in the fifth and two each in the seventh and eighth innings.
UTPB finished with 19 hits and no errors while the Greyhounds had 11 hits and five errors.
UTPB pitcher Brock Robarts was credited with the win.
The Falcons will next face Cameron University in a four-game series beginning at 3 p.m. March 14 in Lawton, Okla.
