MIDLAND The Odessa College baseball team ended up splitting its conference-opening series against Midland College as both teams got one win apiece in Saturday’s doubleheader at Christensen Stadium to finish the four-game series.
The Wranglers won 5-1 in game three before losing game four 9-3.
Odessa College moved to 10-8 overall, 2-2 in Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
The Chaparrals fell to 18-4, 2-2.
Midland College took the first game in the series with a 7-6 win before Odessa College won by the same score in game two in Friday’s doubleheader at Wrangler Ballpark.
Odessa College will next face New Mexico Military Institute, beginning with a 1 p.m. doubleheader Friday in Roswell, N.M.
