How did Minnesota’s attendance for their Illinois game compare to the 36 other high major games played yesterday? Have a look right now!
Be advised, a lot of people are very skeptical of the attendance numbers turned in. I did have a look at the Boston College at Syracuse game to see if I buy that 20k plus people showed up at Syracuse to watch two teams with losing records. There were more than I expected by 20k plus seems laughable. Whatever the case, here are the attendance numbers for the 37 high major basketball games from yesterday (I did include the teams from the expected Pac 12, Pac 10 or Pac 8 or whatever so I could include Oregon State and Washington State).
The numbers are quite interesting. Wisconsin at Iowa on the weekend had way more fans that Minnesota at Iowa during the middle of the week a few weeks back. And these figures surely have some big numbers as the top attendance schools – IU, KU, UNC, etc – they all hosted yesterday. But you can also see how low some of the other figures are for some ACC, SEC, and Big Ten schools.
